Let us take you back in time into our very own Delorean and bring you some of the best in sports and racing between the year 1980 and 2020.
Every 2-3 weeks there will be a new random month from the last 40 years and to kick things off we have June 1999.
In the world of Tennis legend Steffi Graf of Germany wins her 22nd and final Grand Slam title defeating Martina Hingis 4-6, 7-5, 6-2; Graf’s 6th French singles crown.
For the men in the tennis it was the Las Vegas Kid Andre Agassi winning his 1st and only French title by defeating Andrei Medvedev of Ukraine 1-6, 2-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4.
The 1999 AFL season was the 103rd season which had some remarkable highlights especially in June, can anyone remember Tony Lockett kicking his 1300th goal over the Magpies?
Mika Häkkinen wins the Canadian Grand Prix for his 11th career Formula One win and Michael Schumacher who had pole position retired after 29 laps.
We start overseas and in the NHL the Dallas Stars defeat the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 with Stars wingman Brett Hull scoring a controversial goal in triple overtime to win the series 4-2.
Also in June we had the ass end of the Cricket World Cup in England and who could forget the last over of the semi final between Australia and South Africa with the runout that tied the match and since the Aussie finished higher in the Super Six table they advanced to the final against Pakistan where Shane Warne picked up 4/33 and Australia defeats Pakistan by 8 wickets.

QLD went on to win their 10th title in the State of Origin with Matt Roger the top point scorer with 17 points.
Sticking with the sports in America the San Antonio Spurs beat New York Knicks, 78-77 in Game 5 for their first title in franchise history; Spurs big man Tim Duncan was the MVP.
One of the most remarkable things to happen in June 1999 was the absolute champion himself Tony Hawk landing a 900 at the 1999 X Games.
