Breakout NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes has been given quite the incentive to set a league record this year.
A lifetime’s worth of tomato sauce.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback currently sits on 31 touchdowns through 10 games, with the record held by Peyton Manning who threw 55 in the 2013 season.
But thanks to a revelation about his condiment habits, now if Mahomes reaches 57 touchdowns, he’ll never have to worry about the world’s greatest food product ever again.
“If it happens and I get ketchup for life, I’ll be sure to share it with some of the offensive linemen.’’
It does seem unlikely that Mahomes will reach 57 touchdowns, because with six games left, that would require him to throw 26 for an average of almost four and a half a week.
That might be good though, because there’s one way he plans on using the sauce that makes us kinda hope he doesn’t get there.
“I don’t think it’s that weird but I put it on my macaroni and cheese. People seem to think that’s a weird thing. Some people think that’s disgusting but it’s good to me,” he said.
Yes. Some people.
