Blake Griffin’s frustrations got the better of him, and he got ejected for it.

With the Detroit Pistons down 19 points on their home floor — the Charlotte Hornets running away with the victory in the fourth quarter — Malik Monk went up for a layup, only to be met by the shoulder of Griffin.

The connection appeared to be intentional on the part of Griffin, who leant in and collided with Monk’s thigh. The five-time All-Star received a flagrant-2 foul, and was ejected from the game.

It was a rare poor showing from Griffin, who had just 10 points, and missed all five of his three-point attempts.

Kemba Walker and Tony Parker led the way for the Hornets in what ended up being a 113-103 victory, with the two point guards putting up 24 points apiece. The Hornets moved to 7-6 on the season, picking up an important win over a conference foe.

Andre Drummond was the high-man for the Pistons, finishing with 23 points and 22 rebounds.
