AFL Round 21

AFL round 21
With three rounds remaining the top four looks pretty set and with the Tigers and Cats to battle it out on Saturday arfternoon the winner will lock their place in. The Swans look set to cement their place in the top eight and finals aspirants chasing the last spot or two in the eight all have important games none more so than the Demons and Saints, The winner almost snatches a top eight spot and it’s then theirs to keep or lose.
Friday Night Footy
Western Bulldogs v GWS
The Giants even though sitting second have been far from in good form while the Doggies looked to have found a little form last week and back at home will like their chances. Goal kicking is key both sides will have plenty of chances and it will come down to who can kick the straightest. The game will have plenty of Highlights and should be hard running and free flowing. If the Giants or Doggies want to make a real deep run into the finals this is a must win as they build momentum.
Predict Giants win 21 points

Sydney v Fremantle

Chalk this one up as an easy kill for the Swans, don’t expect too much of a fight from the Dockers today as they travel to Sydney. The Swans continue to push and are in one of the greatest runs in AFL history. A big percentage booster here will almost lock the Swans in the top eight and create a little piece of history, a history they will be hoping finishes with a premiership.
Predict Sydney win 70 points
Brisbane v Gold Coast.

About the only question to come from this game will be do the Lions throw in the towel and lock up the wooden spoon and draft pick, or do they inflict a bit of pain on their cross town rivals who have had a week to forget again with Rocket Eade getting sacked. Do not expect an extremely fierce game it will be free flowing a most likely high scoring. With no Ablett
Predict Brisbane win 27 points
Geelong v Richmond

Game of the round, and plenty to play for. Both locked in the top four and will be looking for an edge on a finals counterpart. With Danger back in but Selwood out with Hawkins it’s the Tigers game to lose. It will be a real highlight if Martin and Dangerfield go head to head and this battle alone could be the difference in the game. The Cats will go with a bit of a makeshift forward line which could unsettle the Tigers defence a bit. The Tigers are on the march and there is no bigger bandwagon in footy right now, the Tigers are rolling and will take a big step to getting that extra belief they need today with a win.
Predict Richmond win 9 points

Essendon v Adelaide
Can the Bombers take their chance and keep themselves in the top eight with the Eagles looking like they should beat the Blues and with the Demons and Saints doing battle the Dons will drop out the eight with a loss. The Crows have been sensational in their past six quarters and are one of the most professional teams in the AFL. The Crows won’t let a game like this slip, the Bombers will have a chance if they can get on top early but the Crows will finish strong.
Predict Adelaide win 38 points

West Coast v Carlton
Eagles at home pushing for a top eight spot against the Blues with little to play for and with the kids running on tired legs this game could get ugly for Carlton. If the Eagles get a run on they could put a big score up very quickly. The Blues have not been big scorers all season and will struggle here. The Blues will try to clog the Eagles run but weight of numbers will tell in the end and Eagles will run away easy winners.
Predict West Coast win 46 points
