Match report: Giants bounce back with big win over sorry Suns
AFTER a big loss in the opening round Greater Western Sydney has vaulted on to the winners list with a resounding 24.16 (160) to 8.10 (58) thumping of a listless Gold Coast on Saturday, the highest score and largest winning margin in the club’s short history.

Despite the size of the win the Giants seemed to be below top gear, getting out to a 52-point lead halfway through the second term before a short-lived comeback from the Suns saw the margin cut to four goals early in the third.
GWS then woke itself from its mid-match nap and cruised away to the 102-point victory.
Jeremy Cameron kicked six goals for the Giants on the back of some great midfield work from Dylan Shiel and Josh Kelly, while Jack Martin kicked three for the Suns. Gary Ablett was quiet and at times seemed to be physically limited.
